Firefly was founded in 2012 by Mark Williams and Sasha Robinson with the sole aim of producing the very best vaporizers in the world. Their very first product, the Firefly 1, gained plaudits from such as The New York Times and Wired magazine. In 2014 it became the first vaporizer to win the coveted Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum.

Mark Williams is an inventor, designer and entrepreneur who, for the last 20 years or so, held senior design positions in Silicon Valley, most notable at Apple as design manager for the Mac OS X interface. He himself states that he received his best career advice from Steve Jobs when he was at Apple which was to: "Build the best thing you possibly can!”. Mark has degrees in Industrial Design as well as Human-Computer Interaction

Co-founder Sasha Robinson has great knowledge of both hardware and software working or consulting for companies such as Juniper Networks, Microsoft, Nike, Panasonic, and LG. His degree subject was Computer Science.

Having met at the famous Burning Man festival which reflects their shared core values of self-determination, artistic expression, community creation and working together with an emphasis on having fun!. These values permeate the small, dedicated team that constitutes Firefly.

Through research, design and technology they seek to enhance each individual’s freedom to be responsible for their own consciousness and decisions regarding this.
