Toasted R1 is a feminised hybrid strain bred by crossing ECSD (East Coast Sour Diesel) with Marshmallow OG. Growers can expect both very high yields and THC production while the trichome production and terps. make this a first-class strain from which to make cannabis extracts.
Suitable for cultivation in all environments, Toasted R1 plants are vigorous and develop strong lateral branches. They take 9 - 10 weeks to finish the flowering stage indoors. The sour terps. really become prominent in the final 2 weeks of florescence so growers are advised to show patience and not be tempted to cut plants early. The big, spongy buds are covered with large trichomes oozing resin.
The terps. are very sour with gas and floral notes. THC content rises to 25% or more, and produces a very potent effect.
N.B. An R1 cannabis strain is one which has 2 distinct parents, one of which has been 'selfed' to provide pollen for the fertilization process. It differs from an S1 strain inasmuch as S1s are derived from just one parent strain that is 'selfed' to provide the pollen.
Photoperiod strains rely on seasonal daylight changes, so harvest timing is closely tied to your local climate.
Photoperiod strains give indoor growers more control over size, shape, and when flowering begins.

In theory most strains can be grown outdoors, indoors or in a greenhouse but how well they perform depends on the more exact environmental conditions. This is most important outdoors where climatic conditions can vary widely, so please check the strain information carefully. If your climate is more extreme or growing season shorter you should choose strain that is specifically adapted. Indoor and greenhouse environments can be controlled and made suitable for most strains although space can be a factor for strain that grow very large.
Growing difficulty varies depending on a strain's resilience, structure and environmental needs. Some strains are more forgiving and better suited to beginners and a range of environmental conditions, while others may require closer control of factors such as light, humidity, temperature and feeding.
Our product information and that provided by suppliers can be an indication of potential levels under optimal conditions, and it should not be assumed that results can be replicated in all conditions.
Strains described as beginner-friendly, easy to grow or resilient, in particular Autoflowering Feminised strains, are generally more manageable for less experienced growers. These varieties are often a more reliable starting point than more specialised genetics.
