Gelato Auto Feminised is a fast-maturing hybrid, the auto-flowering version of Gelato, the connoisseur-grade cannabis strain from San Francisco's Bay Area. Gelato Auto is a hardy plant with good resistance to mould, and one that produces good yields of rock-hard buds.
These medium-sized plants are stocky and grow to a height of 90 - 120 cm. The life-cycle is approx. 9 weeks from germinaton to harvest. Indoors, yields are between 400 - 500gr/m2, with SoG giving the best returns perm2, while plants grown outdoors should yield an average of 110 gr. each. In the latter environment growers are recommended to plant in 50 litre pots (10 gallons) without topping or training, they will yield well if given sufficient root space and nutrients. This is a strain that enjoys hotter climates and one which will be more productive in warm, sunny regions.
The terpene profile produces scents and flavours that are earthy and spicy, reminiscent of sweet cookie dough and citrus. THC content is 22%, or even higher, producing a very strong effect that is not recommended for novice consumers. It has a powerful and dreamy effect that can be narcotic.
Autos can be sown in multiple waves through the season for staggered harvests.
Autoflowers follow their own internal clock, making indoor timelines easier to plan from seed to harvest.

In theory most strains can be grown outdoors, indoors or in a greenhouse but how well they perform depends on the more exact environmental conditions. This is most important outdoors where climatic conditions can vary widely, so please check the strain information carefully. If your climate is more extreme or growing season shorter you should choose strain that is specifically adapted. Indoor and greenhouse environments can be controlled and made suitable for most strains although space can be a factor for strain that grow very large.
Growing difficulty varies depending on a strain's resilience, structure and environmental needs. Some strains are more forgiving and better suited to beginners and a range of environmental conditions, while others may require closer control of factors such as light, humidity, temperature and feeding.
Our product information and that provided by suppliers can be an indication of potential levels under optimal conditions, and it should not be assumed that results can be replicated in all conditions.
Strains described as beginner-friendly, easy to grow or resilient, in particular Autoflowering Feminised strains, are generally more manageable for less experienced growers. These varieties are often a more reliable starting point than more specialised genetics.
