Citra Diesel is a sativa-dominant strain created by crossing together the FLX Diesel and Tropicana Cherry strains. Citra Diesel is a typically tall and slender sativa-type plant that proves itself highly-resistant to both bugs and mold. High levels of THC along with good yield potential make this a winner. Leaves are bright lemon and lime green while the flowers are an attractive shade of pink.
Suitable for cultivation in all environments, extra care should be taken when growing indoors as these are very LOUD plants; carbon filters are strongly recommended. Indoors, flowering will take about eight weeks. Outdoors, Citra Diesel has shown very good resistance to damper, maritime climates such as that of the north-east US and also the north-western Pacific region, helped by reduced foliage and longer inter-nodal length, both helping with airflow. Pest resistance is also high in part due to the gassy terpene profile.
The gassy terpene profile of Citra Diesel also includes distinct notes of citronella and hops. With high levels of THC smokers and vapers can anticiptae a very uplifting effect.
Photoperiod strains rely on seasonal daylight changes, so harvest timing is closely tied to your local climate.
Photoperiod strains give indoor growers more control over size, shape, and when flowering begins.
In theory most strains can be grown outdoors, indoors or in a greenhouse but how well they perform depends on the more exact environmental conditions. This is most important outdoors where climatic conditions can vary widely, so please check the strain information carefully. If your climate is more extreme or growing season shorter you should choose strain that is specifically adapted. Indoor and greenhouse environments can be controlled and made suitable for most strains although space can be a factor for strain that grow very large.
Growing difficulty varies depending on a strain's resilience, structure and environmental needs. Some strains are more forgiving and better suited to beginners and a range of environmental conditions, while others may require closer control of factors such as light, humidity, temperature and feeding.
Our product information and that provided by suppliers can be an indication of potential levels under optimal conditions, and it should not be assumed that results can be replicated in all conditions.
Strains described as beginner-friendly, easy to grow or resilient, in particular Autoflowering Feminised strains, are generally more manageable for less experienced growers. These varieties are often a more reliable starting point than more specialised genetics.
