Baked Alaska is an indica / sativa hybrid strain strain produced from a cross and Dosi and Crescendo strains. Huge potential when grown outdoors, especially in raised beds. Immature plants are lime green in color. Baked Alaska is a boutique cannabis variety of the highest quality.
Indoor flowering takes a period of eight weeks and for bigger yields in this environment growers are recommended to veg. for a longer period before the switch to flowering. Plants cultivated outdoors can reach a height of more than 250cm. Buds are nice 'n' dense and in cooler conditions, closing in on maturity, some gorgeous autumnal shades develop.
In terms of aroma, Baked Alaska exudes layers of cake and gelato complemented by meringue, soaked in orange liqueur before being flambeed! A truly unique dessert profile. On the palate this strain produces a very sweet and extremely smooth smoke or vape. With between 19 - 26% THC consumers can expect a highly-euphoric, uplifting effect.
Photoperiod strains rely on seasonal daylight changes, so harvest timing is closely tied to your local climate.
Photoperiod strains give indoor growers more control over size, shape, and when flowering begins.
In theory most strains can be grown outdoors, indoors or in a greenhouse but how well they perform depends on the more exact environmental conditions. This is most important outdoors where climatic conditions can vary widely, so please check the strain information carefully. If your climate is more extreme or growing season shorter you should choose strain that is specifically adapted. Indoor and greenhouse environments can be controlled and made suitable for most strains although space can be a factor for strain that grow very large.
Growing difficulty varies depending on a strain's resilience, structure and environmental needs. Some strains are more forgiving and better suited to beginners and a range of environmental conditions, while others may require closer control of factors such as light, humidity, temperature and feeding.
Our product information and that provided by suppliers can be an indication of potential levels under optimal conditions, and it should not be assumed that results can be replicated in all conditions.
Strains described as beginner-friendly, easy to grow or resilient, in particular Autoflowering Feminised strains, are generally more manageable for less experienced growers. These varieties are often a more reliable starting point than more specialised genetics.
