Fatso GMO F1 Auto is a feminised hybrid strain that results from crossing two auto strains, Fatso Auto and Cotton Candy Auto. This Cali-derived, somewhat sativa-leaning, easy to grow, strain offers high yields, very high THC content and its sweet, candy and fuel palate.
Fatso GMO F1 Auto thrives indoors and outdoors. It has better than average mould resistance but still benefits fromadequate ventilation, more so where humidity is quite high. Resistance to pests and plant pathogens is excellent. Plants stay quite short at around 100cm or less indoors, but they should grow a little taller, reaching a height of 130cm, outdoors planted in the ground. The plants' life-cycle is completed in a maximum of 75 days from seed to harvest and, though yields are quoted as being average, this is still quite impressive for an auto. The mix of high resin production and high terpene levels make Fatso GMO F1 Auto a great strain from which to make cannabis extracts.
The terpene profile is sweet and dank - savoury scents of Skunk with pine and floral notes. The taste is sweet candy with hints of fuel. THC production is very high, reaching 26% while CBD is low. The effect is uplifting and well-balanced.
F1 cannabis seeds or plants are the first generation offspring of two parent plants. F1 hybrid seeds or strains are the first generation
offspring of two pure, distinct strains. Note that using two pure lines, the result of intensive inbreeding, is drastically different to simple cross-breeding.
F1 plants have been used for decades throughout the agricultural industry because they offer several advantages; hybrid vigour allows plants to grow bigger more quickly. Plants are more uniform, stable and offer greater resistance to plant pests and diseases. Yields are much higher too, an important consideration.
However, it should be noted that it is not recommended to allow F1 plants to breed for seed crops as the resulting F2 plants will be much less uniform, being less stable and having greater genetic variability. New F1 seeds will need to be purchased or a lengthy and complex F1 breeding project carried out to produce more seedstock.
Autos can be sown in multiple waves through the season for staggered harvests.
Autoflowers follow their own internal clock, making indoor timelines easier to plan from seed to harvest.
In theory most strains can be grown outdoors, indoors or in a greenhouse but how well they perform depends on the more exact environmental conditions. This is most important outdoors where climatic conditions can vary widely, so please check the strain information carefully. If your climate is more extreme or growing season shorter you should choose strain that is specifically adapted. Indoor and greenhouse environments can be controlled and made suitable for most strains although space can be a factor for strain that grow very large.
Growing difficulty varies depending on a strain's resilience, structure and environmental needs. Some strains are more forgiving and better suited to beginners and a range of environmental conditions, while others may require closer control of factors such as light, humidity, temperature and feeding.
Our product information and that provided by suppliers can be an indication of potential levels under optimal conditions, and it should not be assumed that results can be replicated in all conditions.
Strains described as beginner-friendly, easy to grow or resilient, in particular Autoflowering Feminised strains, are generally more manageable for less experienced growers. These varieties are often a more reliable starting point than more specialised genetics.
