Over 4 lbs carries a minimum two year sentence and a maximum of nine.
Medical Marijuana: In November 2010, Proposition 203 was approved by the slightest of margins (50.13%), removing criminal penalties for the use and possession of Marijuana by patients who have certification from their physician. The law took effect in April of 2011.
Latest Legal News: An Arizona Legalization of Recreational Marijuana Amendment will not appear on the November 4, 2014 ballot as an initiated constitutional amendment, but will likely appear on the 2016 ballot instead, meaning any changes to legalisation laws in the state will likely be 2 years away.
