Description
Sudanese is a tropical landrace sativa strain hailing from approximately latitude 15° N in the River Nile region. These plants are quite short for tropical sativas growing to between 100 - 200 cm. tall. This makes them eminently suitable for cultivation indoors in cooler climates as well as for greenhouses too.
Plants can be switched to flowering after a 4 - 5 week period of vegetative growth. Flowering times are long, in excess of 14 weeks, as befits a tropical landrace sativa strain. Two phenotypes result with small structural differences. Traditionally these plants are grown for use as ganja and are either seedless (sinsemilla) or very lightly seeded.
Germination rates are very close to 100% and seedlings display great vigour during the vegetative growth phase. Its scent is extremely pungent, exuding aromas of aniseed, citrus peel and spices.
Sudanese will interest fans of landrace sativa strains and the more patient grower.
