Harlequin CBD is a sativa-dominant strain with a very high CBD:THC ratio of between 36:1 - 44:1. Such strains are used by medical patients who do not wish to experience any of the psychoactive effects that THC causes, preferring to keep a clear head while enjoying bodily relaxation. Harlequin CBD is easy to grow.
Indoors, plants grow to be 70 - 90 cm. tall producing yields of 500 - 550 gr/m2 in a 55 - 60 days flowering period. Plants cultivated in an outdoor setting will become bigger at 150 - 180 cm. and ready for harvest in the first 10 days of October in the northern hemisphere.
The dominant terpene is myrcene which lends an earthy/mango scent and flavour to this variety. Other terpenes present include pinene (pine) and caryophyllene, the latter contributing peppery/spicy notes.
CBD levels range between 18 - 22% while THC is rated at 0.5%. The effect is focused and relaxing without being intoxicating or sedative in nature. Harlequin CBD is recommended for the relief of pain, stress and anxiety.
Photoperiod strains rely on seasonal daylight changes, so harvest timing is closely tied to your local climate.
Photoperiod strains give indoor growers more control over size, shape, and when flowering begins.
In theory most strains can be grown outdoors, indoors or in a greenhouse but how well they perform depends on the more exact environmental conditions. This is most important outdoors where climatic conditions can vary widely, so please check the strain information carefully. If your climate is more extreme or growing season shorter you should choose strain that is specifically adapted. Indoor and greenhouse environments can be controlled and made suitable for most strains although space can be a factor for strain that grow very large.
Growing difficulty varies depending on a strain's resilience, structure and environmental needs. Some strains are more forgiving and better suited to beginners and a range of environmental conditions, while others may require closer control of factors such as light, humidity, temperature and feeding.
Our product information and that provided by suppliers can be an indication of potential levels under optimal conditions, and it should not be assumed that results can be replicated in all conditions.
Strains described as beginner-friendly, easy to grow or resilient, in particular Autoflowering Feminised strains, are generally more manageable for less experienced growers. These varieties are often a more reliable starting point than more specialised genetics.
