This week's Seeds of Knowledge questions were focused on where you get your grow tips from, your favourite terpene profile and whether you stress your plants or not. Read on to get some grow tips from our community.
Where do you get most of your cannabis grow tips from?
How people learn to grow cannabis and perfect their techniques varies from person to person, with some learning from friends, some from online forums, and others a blend of different influences. Most of you (41%) said you got most of your grow tips from online non-commercial cannabis forums. This was by far the most popular place to go in comparison to commercial cannabis websites, friends, books and cannabis social clubs, all of which got under 13% of your vote.
What is your favourite cannabis smell/flavour?
The unique smell and flavour of cannabis is all down to the particular terpene profile of each strain. Terpenes are not only responsible for the unmistakeable smell of weed, but they also contribute to the effects and particular high of different strains. Earthy notes are usually driven by the terpene humulene, citrus by limonene and skunky musky smelling cannabis usually contains significant quantities of myrcene. When we asked you what your favourite cannabis smell was, the top 3 were fruity, skunky and citrus smelling strains.
Do you use any of the following stress techniques to boost trichome production prior to harvesting?
The majority of you (33%) said NO, you never stress your plants before harvesting. However if you did stress them, light deprivation was the most popular technique with 23% of you reporting use of this technique.
