1. Seedsman Original Skunk #1 Reg

Original Skunk #1 was originally created by Sacred Seeds on the west coast of the USA during the second half of the 1970s. Bred by crossing an Afghani Indica, Acapulco Gold Mexican Sativa and a Colombian Gold sativa. It was the very first stabilised hybrid to be introduced to the burgeoning Dutch growing scene. It was then commonly called "sinsemilla" - grown for potency as seedless marijuana and prevented from becoming fertilised in order to harness all of the plant's energy to be used for resin production and not for seeds.

Its stabilisation resulted in its utilisation as breeding stock for almost all of the Skunk strains currently available as well as for many other strains as well. As such it was seen as the "gold standard" for modern, hybrid cannabis. Its dense buds vary from a light green to a golden colour and are liberally packed with THC-carrying resin. Its taste is somewhat sweet with a decidedly strong aroma (hence the name) and it delivers a powerful, cerebral high effect. Due to the very high ratio of buds to larger leaves it is a strain that is very easy to manicure following its harvest and drying.

2. Seedsman White Widow Fem

White Widow is a classic marijuana strain. Aptly named for its bright white trichomes, White Widow is "frosty" or "crystally" in appearance. This potent strain is a beautiful representation of the indica-dominant hybrid originating from quality cannabis breeding in Amsterdam.

White Widow originated by crossing a "Brazilian sativa land-race" with a "resin-heavy south Indian indica". This is the mastery of cannabis breeding and genetics in the direction of potency, not flavor. These two genetic traits, landrace sativa, and heavy-resin indica were chosen primarily for their abilities to get a user "high".

For this reason, White Widow is without a doubt one of the most commercially successful cannabis strains on the market to this day.

Critical Plus 2.0 Auto is an indica-dominant strain that has undergone extensive improvement and selection. It makes a perfect choice for both small personal grows as well as for commercial ventures. Critical Plus Auto combines stability, speed, yield, flavour and potency in one amazing plant.

Plants are quite bushy although the main stem is not particularly thick. Plants have a short - medium internodal length that results in plenty of bud sites. Indoors, growers will harvest 500 gr/m2 in a total growing time of 70 - 80 days. Average height indoors is about 60 cm. Outdoors the biggest plants can reach 130 cm. tall with yields of 100 - 300 gr/plant and in warmer regions several crops per year can be cultivated.

Growers who choose a soil mix for the growing medium are advised to add one third coco coir substrate to improve oxygenation to the roots thereby increasing the plants' metabolic rate and nutrient uptake. The watering regime should be little and often as these plants do not enjoy wet conditions. Take great care with possible mould infections towards the end of flowering - good air circulation is a must.

Critical Plus 2.0 Auto has a very deep, rich aroma and flavour strongly reminiscent of Skunk and lemon. With high THC production of 15 - 20% and low CBD between 0.01 - 0.2% the effect is potent, long-lasting and very relaxing.

Not available to purchaseOG Kush is a well-known US strain that was bred by crossing Lemon Thai with Chemdawg. OG Kush is a medium to tall member of the Kush family of strains with good side-branching supporting high yields of orange-flecked buds. This is a plant whose cultivation benefits from some previous experience on the part of the grower although it is by no means a difficult variety. Many plants display purple leaves at maturity.

Indoors, OG Kush plants will reach a height of 150 - 180 cm. taking 9 - 10 weeks to finish flowering with yields of 500 - 550 gr/m2 although more experienced growers may even coax 600 gr/m2 from it. Outdoors, these plants much prefer to have unrestricted root space rather than being planted in pots. Grown in the ground these plants can grow to be as tall as 250 cm. and yields can reach as much as 800 gr/m2.

The preferred regions for cultivation outdoors are southern and central Europe, with the Mediterranean and continental climate types being ideal. Northern hemisphere harvests will be ready in late September through to early October, plants taking approximately 85 days from seed.

2. Seedsman White Widow Reg

This strain appeared in Holland at the beginning of the 1990’s and quickly became a hit in all the coffee shops and not long after around the globe.

It is a potent cross of a Brasilian and an Indian sativa. Its name stems from its immense crystal production that makes it shine and glimmer.

White Widow can be grown both indoors and outdoors finishing indoors in around 8 weeks and outdoors in late October.

This is a great strain for wannabe breeders but will also suit those that enjoy an easy to grow strain with a very strong sativa effect.

3. Seedsman Northern Lights Auto

Northern Lights Auto was created by crossing Northern Lights with a ruderalis strain to add auto-flowering properties. It is a robust and resistant Indica-dominant hybrid producing high levels of THC and good yields.

Like most auto strains, it grows well in all growing environments. Indoor, it grows to 80 - 110 cm. tall with its flowering cycle completed in 55 - 60 days, following a 2 - 4 week vegetative growth period, and producing about 500 gr/m2 when given 18/20 hours of light per 24. Outdoor plants grow a little taller, 80 - 150 cm, and produce up to 200 gr/plant. Two outdoor harvests per season are perfectly possible in all but higher latitudes, with three being possible in Mediterranean regions, especially if starting each successive crop before the previous one is finished.

It is very straightforward to cultivate, preferring moderate levels of slow-release fertilizer. It has good resistance to fungus, plant diseases, and pests. Towards the end of its life a range of green, blue and purple shades will both surprise and delight growers.

The scent and taste are fruity and sweet with earthy pine and sweet 'n' sour plum jam coming to the fore. THC levels are very high at 23% with a mere 0.5% CBD, ensuring the effect is one of mental relaxation coupled with a strong body effect.
