Dutch Duchess is a regal, 70% indica hybrid strain which was bred by crossing Tahoe OG with OG Kush. It is easy to grow although its requirement for higher light levels makes it unsuitable for outdoor cultivation in higher latitudes. With high THC it is recommended for certain medicinal applications, read below for more details.
Dutch Duchess grows between 100 - 200 cm. tall taking about 10 weeks indoors for its harvest of fat, resinous lime-green buds is ready for the chop. Although yields are around 300 gr/m2 Dutch Duchess's resinous buds deliver a potent effect to compensate for its yield. This is a strain requiring high light levels and for this reason it is not really suitable for outdoor cultivation except in extremely sunny regions.
Its pungent scent has citrus and diesel tones with spicy and earthy notes while the flavour has spicy, citrus and herbal qualities. Average THC levels are in the region of 18% with 1% of both CBD and CBN. Its cannabinoid and terpene profile provide a fast-acting, powerful, physically-relaxing effect which can make the consumer somewhat lazy and disinclined to action.
Medicinal applications include for pain relief, insomnia, stress and as an appetite stimulant.
