Sour Diesel is a sativa-dominant cannabis variety that was bred from 3 top-quality strains, viz. Chemdawg, Northern Lights and Skunk #1. It's a versatile strain which will satisfy the enthusiast as well as the medicinal user.
This plant has a slightly longer flowering period than average taking 70 - 75 days indoors for very good yields of 550 - 600 gr/m2. Outdoors plants will be ready to harvest in the latter half of September. Growers should be made aware that these plants undergo quite a bit of stretch in the first few weeks of flowering and those with limited space might be well-advised to take precautions regarding this such as short vegging or training sing such methods as SCRoG or eve super-cropping.
Buds are very pungent and reek of diesel fuel with a somewhat sour taste. THC production is very high at 25% with just 0.3% CBD. The effect is that of a typical sativa high with both physical and cerebral effects. Therapeutically it is recommended for treating the symptoms of MS, easing glaucoma and depression, combating anxiety, giving pain relief and also for the side-effects of chemotherapy.
