Harlequake CBD is a therapeutic/medicinal marijuana strain which is an indica-dominant hybrid strain. It was created through the crossing of Harlequin with a Mendocino Purps. The ratio of CBD:THC is approximately 1:1 with a little variation either one way or the other.
Harlequake is a plant that responds very well to being topped (or pinched) whereby the top shoots are remover to restrict height and encouraging the plant to become more compact and bushy and increasing the number of bud sites and consequently yields too. This 60% indica plant is a pretty good producer yielding between 400 - 500 gr/m2 with flowering taking 8 weeks or perhaps a few days longer. Outdoors this strain is a good bet too as it has a strong resistance to powdery mildew which can be problematic with some types of cannabis cultivated in the open air. In this environment production can be 600 gr/plant or even higher with northern latitude harvests taking place in mid-September.
The aroma is sweet and fruity with a lactic/creamy note to ot. The flavour is very complex and features plu, cherry, grape and coffee. Average THC production is around 10.5% with the average CBD being 9% although with different pheno-types these figures can vary but not wildly so. The effect is calming and soothing. Therapeutically this cannabis strain has implications for the alleviation of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, PTSD, epilepsy and other neurological disorders.
