Sheberghan Hashplant is a landrace hailing from Jowzjan Province in northern Afghanistan at 37° N latitude. This region is something of a multi-cultural melting-pot, with an Uzbek majority, located on the ancient Silk Road. Sheberghan is a true hash plant strain from a region renowned for sieved hashish production.
Sheberghan Hashplant contains very high genetic diversity and produces phenotypes that can be either high THC, HIGH CBD or with equal amounts of each cannabinoid. Most are broad-leaved but there is the occasional narrow-leaved pheno.
These plants are very robust and easy to control with the side-branches rarely need any form of support. The seeds offered by Khalifa have undergone a selection process, prior to production, to weed-out hermaphroditic and weak phenotypes making them much more suitable for indoor cultivation. Indoor flowering times are between 9 - 11 weeks and the plants are medium-feeders, more so than many other landrace strains. Plants will double in height during flowering. Outdoors they are adaptable to both hot and cold weather conditions but the dense buds do require low relative humidity (rH) if mould is not to become an issue causing bud rot. Resin production is very high.
Sheberghan is a sweet-tasting plant that coats the inside of the mouth. It has fruity notes with citrus and typical earthy hash flavours. The effect is calming, relaxing and sedative and can vary from mild to very powerful.
