Descrizione
Neville's Haze is the legendary Haze strain that was named in honour of the father of modern cannabis seed companies, Neville Schoenmakers, an Aussie who was resident in Holland. It has an old-school scent and taste that will perhaps be familiar to cannabists who were smoking imported sativas such as Thai sticks and the like in the late sixties and early seventies.
Neville's Haze is a cross of NL5 Haze A with a Haze C; as such it is 75% sativa plant that is primarily intended for indoor growers in high latitudes - the only way that northern Europeans can grow a tropical sativa to maturity. Outdoors it will thrive within 10° of the equator and, grown in a greenhouse, maybe a few degrees higher. Indoors the best and most useful pheno-types are those that will finish flowering in less than 16 weeks. Plants that are still not finished by that time may be considered of little use unless the grower finds another trait that is particularly attractive to them in which case it is worth noting that cuttings taken from these plants can be re-vegged and that they will finish 2 or 3 weeks quicker than the mother.
When grown indoors under 600 watt lights yields of 400 gr/m2 are normal - not a huge amount for such a long flowering phase but then Neville's Haze was never about the yield. The flavour and high are what makes this so attractive to sativa connoisseurs. This plant grows tall and thin very much like a vine, and it is advised to put them into flowering indoors as soon as cuttings are rooted or seedlings have a few sets of leaves.
Outdoors growers should be prepared to utilise some training methods as this can become a very tall plant. North of the equator harvest time will not be until December, hence the need for a very warm climate! The aroma and flavour is very spicy and herbal with pine notes. The effect is totally cerebral, psychedelic and, for the uninitiated, like a trip on a rocket. Prepare for blast off!
