“People’s Cup” winners will be determined by most votes from your own fellow growers and enthusiasts, family and friends! The pics in the Photo Cup Gallery receiving the highest number of votes will win great cash, vouchers, seeds and more! Open to professional photographers and amateurs alike, we want to see your best shots. Take photos at all stages of your grow - from sprouting to flowering to harvesting, we want to see them all! We’d also love to see the finished product and artful pics of use or consuming too. Increase your chances by entering with as many photos as you like, now through November. Jorge Cervantes is the nom de plume of George Van Patten, an American horticulturist, publisher and writer specializing in cultivation of medical cannabis. Van Patten self-published the first edition of Indoor Marijuana Horticulture in 1983, now considered to be the “Grower’s Bible” published in seven languages and used today by Cannabis Universities in the USA, Canada, South America as their main textbook.
Paul Stanford has been a cannabis activist for over 40 years and was the director of the 2012 campaign to legalize marijuana in Oregon. In 1996, Stanford began producing and hosting a weekly TV show called Cannabis Common Sense, which continues today. Stanford founded THCF, The Hemp & Cannabis Foundation, in 1999 and began working with doctors to help medical marijuana patients obtain state authorizations.
Kristen Angelo is an American photographer, photojournalist, & freelance photo editor. Her work focuses on cannabis legalization, cannabis cultivation, & commercial cannabis agriculture, especially the role of the farmer. She began independently documenting the farms & cultivators of the US cannabis industry in 2014. Since then, she has photographed cannabis farms and growers throughout the legalized climates of Washington and Oregon & the clandestine terrain of California.
Allie Beckett is a pioneer of the cannabis industry in the Pacific Northwest. Working as an editorial and commercial photographer, Allie found her niche in the cannabis industry in 2010 and has been passionately involved in the community ever since.
Curtis Taylor is the photographer and community manager for Green Bodhi, Oregon based growers devoted to “Intentional Horticulture”. Intentional Horticulture combines unique growing methods and progressive organic farming techniques with Buddhist teachings to produce thriving cannabis plants. Curtis uses his talent to capture the beauty of cannabis throughout the full growing cycle and works magic to capture macro shots of microscopic trichomes in intense detail and often uses dark backgrounds to bring out the vibrant hues of the Green Bodhi strains.
With a penchant for visual composition, nationally published and award-winning photographer Chris Romaine has long sought to study and present the beauty of the Cannabis plant. Chris shoots each strain as an intimate portrait, capturing its unique characteristics and beauty. Chris’s meticulous focus stacking mobile set-up and attention to detail allow him to shoot a uniform style in any scenario. Chris’s photography brings us a vision of cannabis that the naked eye cannot.
Morgan English is a unique hybrid of photographer, writer, and entrepreneur who created ThisCannabisLife to redefine how cannabis is portrayed and end the stigma against cannabis users. She has been bringing bright and upscale imagery to the industry since 2016 and continues to promote wellness through cannabis.
Sean Moore is a Pacific Northwest based photographer specializing in macro photography and is known for his cannabis-extract close-ups. Working with cutting-edge cannabis producers and processors, Sean documents and showcases the microscopic worlds hidden within cannabis and cannabis extracts.
Utilizing many aspects of photography, digital design, natural and studio lighting, he has a very laid back and minimalist approach to creating captivating, high quality images in almost any setting.
Bess Byers, also known as Cannabess, is a Seattle-based cannabis photographer and the founder of Blaise Creative. She specializes in grow, lifestyle and product photography. Bess has worked in the cannabis industry for over four years and carried a camera around since third grade.
