Moroccan Beldia is a pure landrace cannabis strain traditionally farmed in the Rif mountains. Moroccan Beldia was originally consumed locally as 'kif' or flowers, only being used for hashish production from the 1960s onwards. These are hardy plants that have evolved over a period of 800 years to withstand the harsh, arid climate of the region.
These seeds were originally collected from farmers in Chechaouen province (latitude 35° N) before undergoing three generations of open pollination and selection to weed out weak and hermaphroditic phenotypes.
Moroccan Beldia is a fast-flowering strain that can be grown indoors as well as outdoors developing scant side-branching. Plants thrive with few nutrients and require little watering. Indoors the SoG method utilises space to best effect and after flowering for 7 - 9 weeks are ready to harvest resulting in medium-sized yields. Outdoors in northern latitudes harvest time will be between late August and late September. Wetter climates are not recommended.
The scent is honeyed and its taste is sweet, floral and with some minty and spicy notes. The effect has great clarity producing happy feelings, focused and also relaxing.
