Marula Fruit is a rather exotic strain but one which is very easy to grow. It resulted from a cross of a land-race strain from Mozambique and an indica from Mendocino County in California. It's a high-THC strain with good yields and a very therapeutic, relaxing effect.
Named after a large-canopied African tree, Marula Fruit can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors. Indoor-grown plants reach a height of 90 - 140 cm. producing yields of 425 - 475 gr/m2 in a 7 - 8 week flowering time. Plants grow taller outdoors, especially when planted directly in the ground, maxxing out at 180 cm. Northern hemisphere harvest will be in early October with each plant capable of producing as much as 600 -- 650 gr.
The buds have a conical shape and are liberally covered in a highly viscous resin. This is an extremely hardy strain and one which is suited to most environments. The flavour is sweet and sugary with notes of cherry and candy floss (cotton candy). Average THC production is 20% with low CBD. The effect is akin to the blissful state of well-being experienced after a truly great night's sleep or the sense of relaxation following a fantastic body massage, a feeling of complete ease and contentment. Very much an evening/nigh time strain unless you have a day of utter relaxation planned.
Therapeutically Marula Fruit is recommended for taking the edge off pain, relieving stress and reducing anxiety.
