Grapefruit Superstar is 90% sativa, having been bred by crossing the much-loved Cinderella 99 with a mystery strain known only as Superfast sativa. Grapefruit Superstar plants grow vigorously, and flower quickly, even in relatively low light conditions which means it's ideal for cultivation in higher latitudes outdoors such as those of northern Europe. While beginners will have no problems growing this beauty the connoisseur sativa consumer will enjoy its uplifting effect.
These plants can grow to 300 cm. tall outdoors therefore indoor growers are advised to switch the lighting schedule early so as not to outgrow their space. After 8 - 9 weeks of flowering indoor yields of around 500 gr/m2can be obtained. Northern hemisphere outdoor crops will be ready in late September. Plants can display some nice violet hues, especially where night-time temperatures show a marked drop for those of the day.
Buds have a pungent smell when dried and exude sweet citrus scents. THC levels max-out at around 20%. In true sativa-style the effect is euphoric and uplifting, putting a smile on consumers' faces. Those with creative urges are likely to be inspired when high on this weed.
