RQS' White Widow is now available in this regular version, ideal for growing out some male plants for pollen collectors and also making it easier to take cuttings. This is an S1 hybrid and is 50% sativa, 50% indica. The original was bred from Brazilian and South Indian varieties. White Widow has been in great demand since its launch back in the early 1990s, especially in the coffeeshops of Amsterdam.
This is a robust and hardy strain that is suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation in a wide range of climates, including the higher latitudes of northern Europe including The Netherlands where it was developed. Indoors plants grow to a height of 60 - 100 cm. and are easily managed throughout the grow-cycle. Good yields of up to 500g/m2 are obtained after an 8 - 10 week flowering period, even in small grow spaces. Outdoors, plants become much taller, 150 - 190 cm, producing superb yields of 550–600gr/plant for harvest during October in the northern hemisphere. Plants will thrive in either large containers or in raised beds. When grown in a cooler climate a greenhouse will extend the growing season where cold and rain may otherwise prohibit it.
White Widow has a slightly savoury taste that includes earth, pepper, and spice. Its 19% THC content has a powerful initial body stone like a knockout punch that soothes muscles but this gives way to a more animated high, mentally quite stimulating and encouraging lengthy philosophical discussions.
