NHS is a hybrid strain that was bred by crossing NL#5 x Haze with Skunk, hence the name NHS which coincidentally is also an abbreviation for the UK's National Health Service. Not surprisingly this strain is claimed to be beneficial therapeutically.
NHS brings together the three strains which made the cannabis world take notice of the pioneer breeder Neville Schoenmakers. The inclusion of 25% Haze in this hybrid ensures that this plant is a practical sativa, one which doesn't take forever to finish flowering. Flowering times indoors can range between 56 - 70 days depending on the pheno-type and yields should be at least 500 gr/m2 under 600 watt lights. It can be used in any growing system whether SoG, SCRoG or simply allowed to grow in a large container. Outdoors plants will be ready to harvest during October in the northern hemisphere with large harvests in good conditions. Some growers report beautiful pink pistils with their NHS plants.
NHS is a classic hybrid strain that has been around for almost three decades and which is predicted to be around for a lot longer due to its undoubted quality.
