Highland Lao #2 is the second such strain from the Laotian highlands provided by The Real Seed Co. It was sourced directly from farmers in the mountain regions of Bolikhamsai Province, central Laos. Note that these seeds are form a different farmer to the Highland Lao (#1) strain and grown at a latitude of 18°N. Commercial ganja production was moved here due to crackdowns on cannabis cultivation in the region of the Mekong River in lowland Laos as well as across the border in Isan, north-eastern Thailand.
These land-race strains from the region take 5 - 6 months from seed to harvest, depending on pheno-type, and they are often planted in two cultivation cycles. The first sown June-July for a late December - early January harvest and the second one sown in August-September for a later harvest in February - March of the following year.
These plants have a typical sativa structure and grow to reach a height of between 200 - 400 cm. tall. They are only really suitable for cultivation outdoors or in a greenhouse environment. Buds have a rich scent and taste with notes of pepper and musk. The effect is highly potent and uplifting.
