Description

Cherry Punch F1 is a 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid that was produced by crossing Purple Punch and the Cali-sourced Boost x Tangelo cross. Cherry Punch F1 has intensely fruity cherry and tangerine terpenes, very high yields and a potent, balanced high.

Cherry Punch F1 grows outdoors in hot, warm, dry and humid climates. It is a tall plant whose height can be more than 200cm. when grown outdoors. Harvest time in the northern hemisphere is due in October while in the southern hemisphere harvest is in April. Indoors, flowering takes between 9 - 11 weeks. Buds are light green and purple with very high yields. The quantity of resin and the intensity of the terps makes Cherry Punch F1 a really good extract strain.

The intensely fruity terps. exude scents of cherry and zesty tangerines with creamy fuel and citrus notes. THC production is an amazing 28% with correspondingly low CBD. The effect is balanced and very potent, offering both physical and cerebrally-stimulating qualities.

What are F1 Cannabis Strains?

F1 cannabis seeds or plants are the first generation offspring of two parent plants. F1 hybrid seeds or strains are the first generation
offspring of two pure, distinct strains. Note that using two pure lines, the result of intensive inbreeding, is drastically different to simple cross-breeding.

F1 plants have been used for decades throughout the agricultural industry because they offer several advantages; hybrid vigour allows plants to grow bigger more quickly. Plants are more uniform, stable and offer greater resistance to plant pests and diseases. Yields are much higher too, an important consideration.

However, it should be noted that it is not recommended to allow F1 plants to breed for seed crops as the resulting F2 plants will be much less uniform, being less stable and having greater genetic variability. New F1 seeds will need to be purchased or a lengthy and complex F1 breeding project carried out to produce more seedstock.
