Somango XL is a 75% indica plant that was bred by crossing Somango with Critical 47. It has a fruity aroma, sweet taste, good yield and high levels of THC.
Somango XL remains quite a compact plant that will not grow much taller than 100 cm. indoors lending itself to smaller growing spaces. It takes 8 - 9 weeks of flowering to produce high yields of 525 - 575 gr/m2 under 600 watt grow lights. This plant produces lots of dense foliage and for this reason it is a good idea to ensure good air circulation in order to prevent mould taking hold in humid conditions.
When cultivated outdoors these plants will grow taller ending up at anything up to 200 cm. Harvest time will be in late September in northern latitudes and each plant will produce as much as 600 gr/plant. It will do best in mild and warm climates - much of northern Europe should be fine unless the summer is particularly poor and wet. Again the density of the buds requires a watchful eye especially towards the end of flowering. Purple colouration cab appear on the leaves and buds towards maturity and this effect will be enhanced as the nights become cooler.
The aroma and flavour is very fruity and redolent of tropical fruits such as mangoes. THC production is high at 18% with CBD between 1 - 5%. The effect is fast-acting and brings with it feelings of peace, calm and relaxation. Although it is a strong effect that is long-lasting it is very good for concentration and work that requires some focus and/or creativity. It has a very gentle come-dowm with no signs of tiredness or sluggishness in contrast to some cannabis strains.
