Serious 6 has a complex breeding history. It was created from a breeding programme that mixed Canadian and land-race African genetics and it involved a long and exhaustive period of selection. The aim was to discover a strain that would mature outdoors by the end of September even where conditions were cold and damp. Mould resistance was a priority in this respect.
Serious 6 is almost completely sativa in genetic make-up and is a tall, willowy plant that produces nice, dense buds that produce a lot of resin. Approximately 50% of the plants will have pink pistils which will turn purple towards the end of flowering. Flowering is short indoors which reflects the early finish outdoors, at 55 - 60 days. Indoor yields are very good at 400-550 gr/m2.
The aroma of this strain is also very complex and embraces citrus, aniseed and spices. The effect is pure sativa with a clear, cerebral high that encourages both activity and creativity. At Spannabis 2013 an indoor-grown bud was tested by CANNA-lab which revealed a figure of 17%, the highest recorded that day!

About Serious Seeds
"Your guarantee for success. We are the only company to put an individual serial-number on each pack, so we can identify when it was produced and to which shop it was sold. We do this in order to be able to identify the authenticity of a seed pack in case of a complaint. We guarantee the germination of our seeds and if a seed does not open, contact us and we will help." - Serious Seeds
Like many seed banks across the world, Serious Seeds began with one man’s journey and for Serious Seeds, that man is Simon.
The founder of Serious Seeds, Simon started life as a non-smoker. However, in 1986 during a trip to Africa, he discovered his love for marijuana. For nearly a decade, Simon was cultivating genetics for personal use, experimenting with his favourite strains in order to satisfy his own tastes.
However, as more people began trying his product, he found himself changing professions from High School teacher to full time breeder with Sensi Seeds. After a year of working in a popular seed bank with Sensi, Simon decided to start his own company and in 1995, Serious Seeds was born.
Immediate success ensued, with a Cannabis Cup win in Serious Seeds’ first year as an active seed bank. That was followed up a year later with another Cannabis Cup win for his White Russian strain. An amazing start for such a new breeder.
Simon has always been keen to keep Serious Seeds a relatively small seed bank. However, their size has never diminished the quality of their seeds or their reputation as one of the most coveted seed banks in the world. You can enjoy Simon’s legendary strains for yourself; buy Serious Seeds from Seedsman now.
