Northern Lights is an almost pure indica strain and this version from Sensi Seeds has been selectively bred by crossing NL-1, NL-2 and NL-5 which were the only three pure Northern Lights strains hitherto in existence. It is a perfect, potent indica plant for indoor cultivators the world over.
Northern Lights is, after Skunk #1 and Haze, the third most important cannabis strain for breeding purposes. This version is the epitome of a perfect Afghani genotype being compact, fast-flowering and producing very high yields of knock-out indica buds. Indoors it will finish in just 45 - 50 days of flowering; outdoors it can be cultivated in warm, sunny climates such as that experienced in Mediterranean lands where an early harvest will be in September. A great advantage of Northern Lights is its high resistance to spider mites.
The buds grow large and with great density and are literally covered in sparkling resin crystals. The odour during flowering is not overly strong but when harvested and dried they exude rich, sweet aromas of honey, musk, earthiness and a hint of juniper with a pungent sweet 'n' sour fruity flavour. When smoked or vaped the effect is very powerful and long-lasting and it evolves to become somewhat narcotic in character. It will help those with sleeping problems and will also act as a pain killer for those in need.

- bad germination rate |
2 out of 6 germinated in distilled water/paper towels, used fabric 2gal pots, Basement Mix soil, T5 8 banks inside the house, also have large sun windows humidity/temp control. 1 broke soil in 40 hours the other took 11 days struggling little thing (but the grow shop said a slow/small one usually means female but i wanted ti male LOL!). i am not HAPPY! this was my one "set" i've ordered from seedsman which i wanted to try to get a male and try my hand at pollination/feminized. it's too late to try again this year, i don't have the space or time to waste on this! hope you have better luck! this is my first time growing from seeds since college 4 years, but since i've honestly have gotten 100% germination rate so far out of my various seedsman orders i conclude it's not my technique and i'm ecstatic with seedsman service, and i get delivery in 5-6 days including weekend/holidays so i don't know why the scare people and say a month? incredible fast delivery! i have no knowledge of what "good" plants are, i only looked for outdoor and then read the customer reviews is how i picked my seeds and wanted the faster strains since i got powdery mildew a little on last years store bought clones in october. 16 out of 16 germinated... About Sensi Seeds
There is no other seed bank in the world that has been coveted with more awards than Sensi Seeds. From the Highlife Cup to the Cannabis Cup, Sensi have achieved unrivalled legendary status in the seed bank world.
In the early 1970’s, the founder of Sensi, Ben, opened a clothes shop in the Dutch city of Rotterdam where he sold homemade clothing. A few years earlier, at the age of seventeen, he smoked his first joint. But it wasn’t until he began making regular trips to Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan to purchase textiles that he became aware of the plant’s versatility. He learned about hemp fibre’s suitability as, among other things, a textile and was given cannabis and cannabis seeds by local farmers. Ben discovered that the cannabis plant had so much to offer in spite of it being prohibited and vilified in all corners of the world.
It became one of his passions to collect cannabis seeds from Central and South East Asia and the Asian subcontinent. Back home in the Netherlands, he started to cultivate these seeds in order to learn more about the growth process of this very special plant.
At the start of the 1980’s, the first examples of innovative, stabilised hybrids, such as Haze and Skunk, arrived in Europe from the United States. Ben was one of a mere three Dutch cultivators who were granted access to these hybrids, which are considered an important blueprint for the development of European hybrids.
At the end of the seventies, Ben found out that cannabis seeds did not fall under the cannabis prohibition; it was only the plant that was prohibited and not the seeds. As it was not illegal to sell seeds, Ben reasoned that the production process should not be illegal either. He started his seed company after a lawyer confirmed this insight and in 1985 the Sensi Seed Club, also known as the Sensi Connoisseurs’ Club, came into being. Ben took over a company called the Seed Bank in 1991 and the gene libraries were merged to create the Sensi Seed Bank as we know it today.
Sensi Seeds search for cannabis genetics has never ceased in the last 30 years. Their dedication towards genetic preservation has also never diminished. To this day, Sensi are true to their roots and are now, more than ever, aware that the future of cannabis genetic research lies in its past, in the genetics that started it all.
Sensi genetics offer not only the high yield and range of effects people search for, they actually represent a part of Cannabis’ history.
With a host of award winning strains, it would be unwise to overlook Sensi Seeds, available to buy at Seedsman now.
