Description
Diesel Tangie is the former Heaven's Fruit strain and was bred by fertilising NYC Diesel from Soma with pollen from Philosopher Seeds' own Tropimango strain. In so doing the structure was improved without losing the wonderful aromas of the 2 parent strains. It is suitable to be grown indoors as well as outdoors.
Easy to grow and vigorous too, it tends to grow in a columnar-style indoors where it is most suited to Sea of Green. Outdoors it will grow into a classic Christmas tree shape. It can take 20 days or so for the first buds to develop but they quickly pack on density and weight. Below 18°C leaves will darken and yields may be a bit lower but this is compensated by being more potent. Lower still below 15°C plants will become wholly purple.
Indoors flowering takes about 63 days; outdoors plants are ready in the second half of October in northern latitudes. This strain has very good pest and disease resistance whether grown in or out. Both aroma and flavour are very complex with notes ranging from earthy to acidic. Diesel Tangie is 60% sativa and this is evident in the initial high but after a while this calms down and becomes very relaxing. The majority of pheno-types produce high levels of CBD to counter the 18% THC and therefore this strain has therapeutic applications for medical marijuana patients.
