Description
Candida (CD-1) has the highest CBD and lowest THC content of any strain currently available on the seed market. It was named after the founder of Medical Marijuana Genetics’ late mother and means ‘bright light’ in Latin.
Our Laboratory results show CBD levels of between 20.6% and 10.9% CBD with THC levels rising with higher CBD levels - but never passing 1% THC. The balance between CBD and THC remains more consistent than any similar strain.
With these ratios of CBD to THC, the anti-psychotic capabilities of the higher levels of CBD outweigh the relatively small amounts of THC, and effectively remove the "high", psychological effect, ensuring a non-psychoactive cannabis plant.
Candida can be grown both indoors and outdoors. It is recommended for all environments and grow-media and has a unique lemon flavour and aroma that compliments its medicinal properties. CD-1 will flourish in any climate. It has impressed many with its highly vigorous early growth
Candida will noticeably produce two different phenotypes; a sativa and an indica. Initial research has suggested that the sativa phenotype will produce lower, whispier yields often associated with sativa strains. We have noticed to date that the sativa pheno produces higher CBD counts. In comparison, the indica pheno will produce bigger, denser yields with lower CBD levels but still with significant CBD content. It is recommended to give good care to the sativa phenos as these can be harder to manage and will have larger distances between the internodes making the plants more vulnerable.
Generally, the sativa pheno is better suited to making extractions than to smoking and vaping, whilst the indica pheno is suitable for all.

Great plants, easy to grow although have taken a fair amount of maintenance. I got 2-seeds, 100% germination. Healthy and growing well. Both mine are the indica pheno. Looking like a high yield.

Had flowers tested and two different seeds were 10%thc and 12%cbd . Both plants had similar results. I don't want a refund, I just want high cbd's and less than 1% thc like you are advertising. This is medicine and I wasted 3 months growing these plants because of your advertising. Just be Honest please!

Three beans planted, two sativa and one Indica pheno. I kept the indica. She grew fast, bushy as you could ever imagine, and perfectly shaped after I topped her. Literally looked like a globe. The nodes were tight and plenty along with branch formation. When it came to pruning it was a 7 stage process, SHE WAS BUSHY. Well worth it, explosive first growth followed by an extremely fast swell, within the first three weeks. This plant looked like it was at least 70% along in the first 50% of her life. Super trichome production on top of massive calyx growth. By far one of the most beautiful plants I've grown. Outdoors, in Portland Oregon in a 65 gallon felt pot. An absolute gem of a plant if you are willing to put in some lollipop work. Finished product is tasty and has great body only effects. Anxiety, pain, and ADHD have all been helped by this strain as tested on multiple people. Overall I can't recommend it enough for those seeking a greater than great CBD plant.

Bought 3 seeds and got a freebie. All 4 germinated and grew very well. Gave one away to a friend that suffers from chronic pain. The 3 I grew produced 7&1/2 oz with some FIMing and 400w MH/HPS bulbs. Super sticky and fragrant. Great quality without feeling stoned!

I've had absolutely no luck with this breeders seeds. I had high expectations. Tiny little seeds that didn't sprout. I won't be buying again. All other seeds planted at same time/ same conditions thriving.

This is the first grow of Candida CD-1, so far in the 8th week of flowering I am very impressed with this strain. Very little problems with growing indoors so far, I am excited in the next few weeks to finally have it tested and make it available to the sick people who need it! grows very nice thick fat wet oily buds easy to grow I got a 3 pack of seed 2 came up one was fast 65 days at 12/12 I got no thc affect in the fast one
the other was a little slower 85 days just the faintest thc in it both smelled great tasked spicy when smoked smother when in vap

This is a twisty, gangly, funky plant. Seems like it's not quite stable but hey, where else can you get anything close to Charlotte's Web (this is better). My wife cannot have any thc so this is great medicine. I'll definitely buy again but just not quite as good as it could be.

About Medical Marijuana Genetics
In 2014, the founders of Medical Marijuana Genetics first learnt of the therapeutic properties of the cannabis plant whilst desperately treating the symptoms of one of their mother’s late stage pancreatic cancer. Not long after her first dose of cannabis oil, she was able to move around relatively pain free, enabling her to tend to her beloved garden, in the weeks leading up to her death.
The benefit that the cannabis oil had given her was clearly visible to those around her and awoke a passion and deep interest in the use of cannabis as a medicine. Shortly after, the informational website www.medicalmarijuana.co.uk was born and subsequently, a concept to create cannabis strains with the most beneficial therapeutic effects; whilst at the same time raising awareness as to their potential.
Through the organisation's interaction with patients and cannabis communities worldwide, it quickly became apparent that access to cannabis genetics high in cannabinoids other than THC was severely limited. As a result of this, Medical Marijuana Genetics was formed with award winning breeders and caregivers from the Basque region of Spain, with the initial aim of creating a line of CBD dominant cannabis strains.
Using genetics from a number of well established strains, Medical Marijuana Genetics successfully created Candida (CD-1), named after the founder’s mother and meaning ‘bright light’ in Latin. Early laboratory tests of this strain showed very promising results and helped maintain a strong passion in the project. And although Medical Marijuana Genetics have not yet stabilised this strain it shows some consistency in its CBD:THC ratio as well as out-performing any similar strains. To this date, Medical Marijuana Genetics have had results ranging from 20.65% CBD with 0.7% THC to 10.65% CBD to 0.39% THC. These percentages represent the highest known consistent ratios in a CBD-rich seed strain ever created in Europe.
Following the overwhelming success of their first strain, Medical Marijuana Genetics created a further 12 elite strains using Candida as a parent. For their launch, Medical Marijuana Genetics have selected their favourite four of these to release alongside their flagship Candida strain. These have been selected to provide access (within lawful jurisdiction) to the widest range of therapeutics that the cannabis plant, and CBD in particular, has to offer. This includes treatments for symptoms such chronic pain, inflammation, seizures, convulsions, gastro-intestinal disorders, nausea, vomiting, skin conditions, bacterial infections, anxiety, depression, cancer cell growth and much more. All of the strains that are being launched are CBD dominant and have a CBD content of over 8%, but some strains veer towards a 1:1 ratio. At every possible step, Medical Marijuana Genetics have shown averages of their laboratory results as well as the top and bottom end of what has been recorded. We believe this helps give clients the best possible idea of what to expect.
