The oddly-named 4 Assed Monkey gets its name from one of the constituents of this cross, viz. Gorilla Glue #4 which was crossed with Mephisto's own Grape Crinkle. It's a very fast auto-flowering strain which is ready in just 60 - 65 days from germination. 50/50 indica/sativa in genetic composition this is a small plant best suited to indoor cultivation.
4 Assed Monkey is a short, squat plant that reaches a height of 50 - 70 cm. at maturity. The veg. period is short making it essential that it gets off to the best start in life. It doesn't spend long enough in vegetative growth to engage in any form of training beyond a little judicious leaf-tucking. Yields are between 60 - 90 gr/plant; the lower figure will be about right if the plants are tightly spaced but give her enough room to spread out a bit and the upper figure becomes more readily achievable.
This auto has a complex scent of rubber, chemicals, gas and grapes! The palate evolves from sour-earthy notes to a typically tropical taste. The dense buds produce an effect that is best characterised as a euphoric buzz.

It was then that a new gauntlet was laid down and the idea of Mephisto born. It was an idea neither breeder could resist and so they moved countries and their adventure really began.
The initial aim of Mephisto Genetics was simply to create and develop, unique, high potency, high quality, auto strains developed from sought after photoperiod varieties from start to finish…and this aim has never wavered.
The difference between Mephisto seeds and other companies, is that unlike a lot of brands in the market, they don’t buy in seeds and do a quick re-branding exercise.
The seeds Mephisto Genetics advertise are the ones their customers receive. They are involved in every aspect of cultivation from selection, pollination and de-seeding to sorting and packaging.
