Later on today we’ll be producing a Livestream with Dr. Gary Potter of the Global Cannabis Cultivation Research Consortium (authors of the study). Also joining is Canadian master cultivator Andrew Heckman to discuss why the survey matters and how you could help.
The Global Cannabis Cultivation Research Consortium (GCCRC) is an international group of academics. They research cannabis growing under different legal and policy regimes. They believe that the prohibition of cannabis is the wrong approach: it criminalizes millions of otherwise law-abiding citizens worldwide. It contributes to harms associated with an illegal, unregulated cannabis market. We believe that good drug policy should decrease harm and increase benefits to society: prohibition does the exact opposite.
They believe that good policy should be based on the best evidence. Currently, drug policy is often based on myths, stereotypes, and misinformation rather than good, objective scientific research.
ll survey responses are strictly anonymous, we do not ask for any personal data or contact details, and we do NOT record your IP address.
If you have any questions or want to know more about the research we have published so far, please email Dr Gary Potter, University of Lancaster, at email@example.com, visit our website, or tune into the Livestream today.
How and where to watch the Livestream
The Livestream will delve into the survey’s importance. Discuss what happens to the data and what the GCCRC has already learned. And, what the future could hold for millions of legal and illegal cannabis growers worldwide. You don’t want to miss it!
See you later, on Youtube, 7PM BST, 2PM EDT.
