Peyote Zkittlez (Peyote Wifi x Zkittlez) is an attractive plant from start to finish.  It is quick and easy to grow. It has extremely pleasing bag appeal and is very tasty, with a smooth flavour that smokes beautifully. This strain produces a relaxed body experience with a happy and mellow overall feeling. Highly recommended!

The indoor grow

To germinate these cannabis seeds I dunked them in water for 24hrs and then placed them in wet paper towels for another 24hrs. Germination rate was 100%.

I planted the seedlings in ¾ litre pots and transplanted them to 5 gallon finishing pots 3 weeks later. I used Promix HP soil and fed them Remo Nutrients during both veg and bloom time.

This Peyote was fairly easy to grow during the vegetation stage. The space between nodes was short during the first weeks before the plant started to stretch. This strain grows large, wide fan leaves that turn it into a very bushy plant from the start. Providing good air circulation is important.

I transplanted the young plants 3 weeks into veg into a 5-gallon finishing pot. There were no issues during this step, although as predicted, it did slow a bit from being transplanted and taking off again quickly.

Peyote Zkittlez is a medium size plant that can get quite tall if not topped. Stretching slows after the second week of bloom as the flowers start to swell and power is shifted to full bloom mode!

Veg time was 7 weeks followed by 8 weeks of bloom. I flushed one week before harvest, then chopped in segments and hang-dried for 16 days.

This strain produces tall, strong, spear like colas that are covered in flowers. They grow all along the cola in a beautiful spiral pattern. It is ideal for topping. Fed well and under sufficient lighting you will be rewarded with large, dense, colourful flowers from each cola! The structure of the flower is tear shaped with the bottoms thick and full as the flower tapers towards the tip. During the last week of bloom, the flowers begin to produce tiny popcorn like foxtails packing on more weight.

This strain is a heavy trichome producer. From the second week of flower you will notice a thick velvety carpet of trichomes begin to grow over the sugar leaves and flowers, multiplying as the weeks go by. Not to be forgotten are the beautiful streaks of purple and pink that make the flowers from this strain look spectacular.

Harvesting, drying and curing

The flowers finished rather quickly, the trichomes turning noticeably more amber over night by day 56 of bloom. The flowers seemed to be holding a lot of moisture when chopped which is why I chose to chop it in segments rather than hang it in one piece. It took 16 days for the flowers to dry properly to be able to dry trim them and store in amber glass jars. The jars were burped daily for the first 2 weeks of cure and the smell coming from the jars was fuel followed by sweet fruits.

Smell and taste

The first smoke test tells you right away this is not your normal Zkittlez. It has got a noticeable kick to it! A berry, pine injected sweet lemon pop. The smell of fuel is there but not so much in the flavour. From the start of the smoke test it is an immediate pleaser! The aroma and flavour are enough to put a smile on your face and then the effects start…

You know those strains that make you giggle? This is it! It starts with the sides of your lips cracking into a smile, your mind relaxes, your spirit perks up and you know that you are going to have a good time. This is a heavy hitter, but it can be used in a social setting. There is no anxiety or nervous feeling, simply happiness and an ability to relax around others and enjoy yourself. It is a great strain to watch a good movie or have a night of gaming. Your body will feel relaxed and your mind will still be able to focus on storylines and keep up with strategies. Although, if you overindulge, this heavy strain may also relax you so much, you may need a little nap.

A little goes a long way. If you did not have an appetite before smoking this strain you will after! Make sure you have some snacks around.
