We carried on looking at the harms and benefits of the plant, passing rapidly over the medical side of things whilst concentrating more on the damage that cannabis can cause. Matthews explained his belief from the mass of information around that cannabis does not cause mental health problems but helps to exacerbate them in people who are prone to such diseases. He explained that it is impossible to limit intake of those prone to mental health problems because unless they have exhibited signs of their disease or unless a family member had shown signs it is very difficult to screen for. Matthews included that his belief in recent reports that skunk cannabis causes more problems is probably due to the difference in balance of the two main cannabinoids THC and CBD a valid point that to my knowledge remains unnecessarily unresearched.
