Oh the things we do for dope. Like getting up at 5am, catching a train to Liverpool and sitting in a cold conference room listening to a group of academics discuss the dangers of cannabis. You might not know it, but all this was done for your benefit. We went and we learnt for you. Seedsman is a highly responsible organisation, one which wants you to be fully informed about the consequences of your actions. Read on and discover what they might be.
This was, as the title suggests, the second conference on cannabis organised by John Moores University and HIT; two organisations with a long pedigree in credible drug research. An impressive list of speakers delivered their latest findings on cannabis to an audience largely made up of healthcare professionals and drug workers.
As you might expect with such an audience the focus was on the harms cannabis can cause and the best way to stop people using it - so far, no good. But these conferences are usually made up of truth-seekers, rather than politicians looking for a soundbite. And the authors were offering details of reports you may well have read about. So the information is of great interest to anyone using cannabis or concerned with changing the law.
